Silver Lake Sumeru, Leading Global Technology Investor, Appoints Yuda Doron as Senior Adviser for Israel

Silver Lake Sumeru, the middle market strategy of the world’s largest private investment firm focused on technology and technology-enabled industries, announced today that it has appointed Yuda Doron as Senior Advisor. Doron will be responsible for identifying investment opportunities and expanding the firm’s relationships in Israel. He will be based in Tel Aviv and will work directly with Ajay Shah, Managing Director of Silver Lake Sumeru, and the Silver Lake team.

“Israel is an exciting center of technological innovation, growth, and investment opportunity,” said Mr. Shah. “We look forward to leveraging Yuda’s knowledge and experience as we seek to identify promising Israeli companies that require additional capital and operational expertise to take their businesses to the next level.”

Doron is a technology expert with over 20 years of experience working with companies to develop strategies for growth and execute turnarounds and exits. Prior to his current appointment, Doron was an angel investor and strategy consultant who helped facilitate the sale of Bristol Technology to HP, Appilog to Mercury Interactive and developed and implemented an operational plan to stabilize costs at Enterasys Networks. Previously, he managed the domestic sales channel at Computer Associates and held prominent positions at Cheyenne Software, Cheyenne Communications and Texas Instruments. Doron is also the founder of Texel, a software and integration company which was sold to Elco International. He is a veteran Israeli Navy SEAL and received a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Tel Aviv.
