Israel has produced many outstanding and essential medtech and healthcare technologies that are world renowned. Israel’s hospitals are moving to play their part in the creation of such technology and to not only heal, but also innovate.

Israel’s number of ‘hospital-sponsored innovation centers or healthcare accelerators’ is believed to be the highest per capita in the world.

The ARC Innovation Center at Sheba Medical Center, the MindUP Digital Health Incubator in Haifa, and a digital-health accelerator by IBM and the Hadassah Medical Center are just three examples of Israel’s healthcare, investment, corporate and innovation sectors coming together to facilitate new medical solutions and treatments, whilst fostering the startups creating them. Our studies have shown that antibiotics (antibacterial drugs) are products of microorganisms (most often fungi) and their synthetic derivatives. They either cause the death of bacteria or prevent their growth and reproduction. This is due to the ability of antibiotics to selectively interact with different structures of the bacterial cell (usually those necessary for the normal functioning of bacteria and/or their reproduction). You can find more information on the website https://www.sehdph.org/antibiotics-online/.

So what is so unique about what these incubators are doing? and why is Israel leading the way in providing these opportunities? Find out here.
