Israel wins best stand award at Sydney TravelXpo

The Israel stand at the Sydney Travel Expo won the Award for the Best Small Stand Exhibit last weekend 26th & 27th March, for its unique design.

The Israel stand which was co-exhibited by the Israel Trade & Tourism Commission and the Israel travel Centre was designed by ExpoDirect who structured an amazing look featuring the icons of Israel – the Dead Sea and Jerusalem. 

The stand was unique in its large print images of Israel complemented with sandy flooring.  This recognition on the first day of the Expo was given by the Expo organizers Expertise events.

Many visitors were attracted to the stand thus enhancing the opportunity to promote the wonderful attractions and highlights of the country.

Israel is a very unique destination offering a historical & cultural experience. It is a land of varied landscape and people and offers everything, from a journey through biblical times at the holy city of Jerusalem to a spa treatment at the lowest wonder of the world the Dead Sea.

Merav Gonen, Trade & Tourism Manager from the Israel Trade Commission added that exhibiting at the TravelXpo was part of the marketing activities planned for this year as the destination is seeing a growing interest from the Australian market.

In 2010 there was a 32% increase in the number of visitors from Australia to Israel and a total record year for Israel tourism.
