Floodwaters flow towards Menindee Lakes

Share |

As reported by the ABC, flooding from northern New South Wales is expected to partially fill the Menindee Lakes, but not fill them completely.

Graziers are being advised to remove stock from the bed of Lake Pamamaroo, and the Department of Water also expects to run some of the Darling River floodwaters into Lake Weatherall.

The Department of Water’s David Harriss says the system’s lower two lakes are not expected to fill at this stage.
