Following the success of Western Australia’s inaugural Mission to Israel in May 2008, with nineteen delegates and led by Professor Lyn Beazley AO, Chief Scientist of WA, the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce and supported by the Chamber of Commerce & Industry in WA, will be conducting a seven day visit to Israel from Friday 22 to Thursday 28 October 2010, focusing on Commercialisation, Sustainability & Business Development.

Israel is known as the Silicon Valley of water. Israel has been confronted with extremely limited natural resources due to its location and terrain. It has had to develop innovative water technologies and waste water treatment solutions, and is becoming a world leader in the field of cleantech. Currently, Israel recycles over 70% of all water used.

With Israel being one of the world leaders in clean tech and water technology, there is a clear synergy between these sectors and vast opportunities for collaboration between the two countries.

The ITC will be hosting an Israel stand at the upcoming Trade Australia Import Export Show.

The Import Export Show is Australia’s only exhibition and seminar program dedicated to showcasing the full spectrum of services and support available to assist importers and exporters with their international business engagement and development.
The Import Export Show debuted in September 2008 and was a resounding success. Over 60 private and government exhibitors presented their solutions and services to 1380 visitors.

The major show takes place every two years. The next show will be at Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour, 1-2 September 2010.

Ron has been a National Security reporter for more than 30 years and has been reporting from the front lines of the battle fields including, Yom Kippur War, 1st and 2nd Lebanon Wars, Intifadas, disengagement from Gaza, withdrawal from Lebanon, as well as reporting from the Navy Combat Ship during the recent Gaza flotilla event.
